DAY 01 – ARRIVAL IN SRI LANKA, DAMBULLA CAVE TEMPLE & MINNERIYA SAFARI

  • Journey to Dambulla
  • Proceed to Dambulla, located in the heart of Sri Lanka’s Cultural Triangle.
  • Explore Dambulla Cave Temple
  • Visit the magnificent Dambulla Cave Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for its ancient cave shrines, golden Buddha statues, and beautifully preserved wall paintings dating back centuries.
  • Transfer to Habarana / Sigiriya
  • After exploring the temple complex, proceed to Habarana/Sigiriya and check in at a hotel surrounded by peaceful natural landscapes.
  • Evening Safari – Minneriya National Park
  • In the evening, enjoy an exciting 4x4 jeep safari at Minneriya National Park, famous for its large elephant gatherings, diverse birdlife, and rich wildlife.

DAY 02 – SIGIRIYA ROCK FORTRESS & CULTURAL KANDY EXPERIENCE

  • Proceed to visit the iconic Sigiriya, one of Sri Lanka’s most celebrated UNESCO World Heritage Sites and famously known as the “Lion Rock Fortress.”
  • Climb through ancient royal gardens, frescoes, mirror walls, and breathtaking viewpoints while discovering the fascinating history of King Kashyapa’s legendary palace built atop the massive rock fortress.
  • Enjoy spectacular panoramic views of Sri Lanka’s lush landscapes from the summit.
  • Journey to the Hill Capital – Kandy
  • After exploring Sigiriya, proceed to Kandy, the cultural heart of Sri Lanka, surrounded by scenic mountains and lush greenery.

DAMBULLA  CAVE TEMPLE

Dambulla cave temple also known as the Golden Temple of Dambulla, Which is a World Heritage Site by UNESCO (1991) in Sri Lanka, situated in the central part of the country. It is the largest and best-preserved cave temple complex in Sri Lanka

MINNERIYA NATIONAL PARK

 Minneriya National Park is in North Central Province of Sri Lanka. The area was designated as a national park on 12th August 1997, having been originally declared as a wildlife sanctuary in 1938. The reason for declaring the area as protected is to protect the catchment of Minneriya tank and the wildlife of the surrounding area. The tank is of historical importance, having been built by King Mahasen in third century AD. The park is a dry season feeding ground for the elephant population dwelling in forests of Matale, Polonnaruwa, and Trincomalee districts. The park earned revenue of Rs. 10.7 million in the six months ending in August 2009.[2] Along with Kaudulla and Girithale, Minneriya forms one of the 70 Important Bird Areas (IBAs) of Sri Lanka.The park is situated 182 kilometres (113 mi) from Colombo.

SIGIRIYA- LION ROCK

Sigiriya was used as a Buddhist monastery until the 14th century. Sigiriya today is a UNESCO listed World Heritage Site. It is one of the best preserved examples of ancient urban planning. It is the most visited historic site in Sri Lanka.

KANDY CITY TOUR /THE TEMPLE OF THE TOOTH RELIC /CULTURAL SHOW

Kandy is the second largest city in the country after Colombo. It was the last capital of the ancient kings' era of Sri Lanka. Kandy is the home of The Temple of the Tooth Relic (Sri Dalada Maligawa), one of the most sacred places of worship in the Buddhist world. It was declared a world heritage site by UNESCO in 1988.

PERADENIYA BOTANICAL GARDEN

Royal Botanical Garden - garden includes more than 4000 species of plants, including orchids, spices, medicinal plants and palm trees. Attached to it is the National Herbarium of Sri Lanka. The total area of the botanical garden is 147 acres (0.59 km2), at 460 meters above sea level, and with a 200-day annual rainfall. It is managed by the Division of National Botanic Gardens of the Department of Agriculture
