Itinerary

DAY 01 – ARRIVAL IN SRI LANKA, DAMBULLA CAVE TEMPLE & VILLAGE EXPERIENCE

  • Arrival at Bandaranaike International Airport
  • Warm welcome and meet & greet by the Let’s See Asia representative at the arrival lobby
  • Journey to Dambulla
  • Proceed to Dambulla, located in the heart of Sri Lanka’s Cultural Triangle.
  • Explore Dambulla Cave Temple
  • Visit the magnificent Dambulla Cave Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for its ancient cave shrines, golden Buddha statues, and beautifully preserved wall paintings dating back centuries.
  • Transfer to Sigiriya
  • After exploring the temple complex, proceed to Habarana / Sigiriya and check in at the hotel surrounded by peaceful natural landscapes.
  • Evening – Traditional Village Experience
  • In the evening, enjoy an authentic Sri Lankan village tour to experience the traditional rural lifestyle, local culture, village hospitality, and scenic countryside.
  • Enjoy dinner at the hotel
  • Overnight stay in Habarana / Sigiriya (hotel category as selected)

DAY 02 – SIGIRIYA ROCK FORTRESS & ANCIENT POLONNARUWA KINGDOM

  • Enjoy breakfast at the hotel
  • Morning – Explore Sigiriya Lion Rock
  • Begin the day with a visit to the iconic Sigiriya, one of Sri Lanka’s most celebrated UNESCO World Heritage Sites and famously known as the “Lion Rock Fortress.”
  • Climb through ancient royal gardens, frescoes, mirror walls, and breathtaking viewpoints while discovering the fascinating history of King Kashyapa’s legendary palace built atop the massive rock fortress.
  • Enjoy spectacular panoramic views of Sri Lanka’s lush landscapes from the summit.
  • Afternoon – Explore the Ancient City of Polonnaruwa
  • Later, proceed to Polonnaruwa and experience a sightseeing tour of the island’s medieval capital and UNESCO World Heritage Site.
  • Explore the fascinating archaeological ruins, royal palaces, sacred temples, beautifully carved stone statues, ancient reservoirs, and historical monuments that showcase the grandeur of Sri Lanka’s ancient civilization.
  • Return to the Hotel
  • After completing the excursions, return to the hotel and relax amidst the peaceful surroundings.
  • Enjoy dinner at the hotel
  • Overnight stay in Habarana / Sigiriya (hotel category as selected)

 

DAY 03 – NEGOMBO COASTAL EXPERIENCE & DEPARTURE

  • Enjoy breakfast at the hotel
  • Journey to Negombo
  • After breakfast, proceed towards Negombo
  • En Route – Explore Negombo
  • On the way, enjoy a sightseeing tour of Negombo, a charming coastal town well known for its fishing heritage, colonial influences, and vibrant local lifestyle.
  • Visit some of Negombo’s popular attractions, including:
  • The lively local fish market showcases Sri Lanka’s traditional fishing industry
  • The fishing village where you can witness the daily lifestyle of local fishermen
  • Negombo Dutch Fort, reflecting the region’s colonial history
  • St. Mary's Church, one of the largest and most beautiful cathedrals in Sri Lanka
  • Departure Transfer
  • After completing the tour, transfer to Bandaranaike International Airport for your departure flight.
  • Drop off at the departure lounge
  • End of the services

Overview

DAMBULLA CAVE TEMPLE

Dambulla cave temple also known as the Golden Temple of Dambulla, Which is a World Heritage Site by UNESCO (1991) in Sri Lanka, situated in the central part of the country. It is the largest and best-preserved cave temple complex in Sri Lanka

VILLAGE TOUR

Where you will be able to learn the typical Sri Lankan village lifestyle, go to a village house through paddy fields on a bullock cart and meet local people. And also you can ride on the lake on a traditional catamaran and enjoy homemade organic village style food.

SIGIRIYA- LION ROCK

Sigiriya was used as a Buddhist monastery until the 14th century. Sigiriya today is a UNESCO listed World Heritage Site. It is one of the best preserved examples of ancient urban planning. It is the most visited historic site in Sri Lanka.

POLONNARUWA

Built in the 11th and 12th centuries AD, Polonnaruwa is a listed World Heritage site. Here you can see the ruins of the Royal Palace, the Gal Viharaya, and four statues of the Buddha in 'Upright', 'Sedentary' and 'Recumbent' postures carved out of rock
