DAY 01 – ARRIVAL IN SRI LANKA & DAMBULLA CAVE TEMPLE EXPERIENCE

  • Warm welcome and meet & greet by the Let’s See Asia representative at the airport lobby
  • Journey to Habarana
  • Proceed to Habarana, located in the heart of Sri Lanka’s famous Cultural Triangle.
  • En Route Visit – Dambulla Cave Temple
  • On the way, visit the magnificent Dambulla Cave Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for its ancient cave shrines, golden Buddha statues, and beautifully preserved wall paintings dating back centuries.
  • Arrival in Habarana
  • After completing the visit, continue to Habarana and check in at the hotel.
  • Enjoy dinner at the hotel
  • Overnight stay in Habarana

DAY 02 – ANCIENT KINGDOM OF POLONNARUWA & MINNERIYA SAFARI

  • Enjoy breakfast at the hotel
  • Morning – Explore the Ancient City of Polonnaruwa
  • Proceed to Polonnaruwa, one of Sri Lanka’s ancient royal capitals and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
  • Explore the fascinating archaeological ruins, ancient palaces, sacred temples, massive stupas, and beautifully carved stone statues while discovering the rich history and heritage of Sri Lanka’s medieval kingdom.
  • Afternoon – Minneriya National Park Safari
  • In the afternoon, transfer to Minneriya National Park for an exciting wildlife safari experience.
  • Enjoy a thrilling jeep safari through the park, famous for its large elephant gatherings, diverse birdlife, deer, buffalo, and other wildlife living in their natural habitat.
  • Return to Habarana
  • After the safari, return to the hotel and relax amidst the peaceful surroundings.

DAY 03 – SIGIRIYA ROCK FORTRESS & CULTURAL JOURNEY TO KANDY

  • Journey to Kandy
  • After exploring Sigiriya, transfer to Kandy via Dambulla.

  • Kandy City Experience
  • After the temple visit, enjoy a sightseeing tour of Kandy, the cultural capital of Sri Lanka.
  • During the tour, visit:
  • A traditional batik factory showcasing Sri Lanka’s famous handmade textile art
  • A wood carving workshop featuring skilled local craftsmanship and traditional Sri Lankan artistry
  • Journey to Ramboda – Sri Lanka’s Tea Country

DAY 05 – NUWARA ELIYA, WATERFALL TRAIL & DEPARTURE JOURNEY

  • Visit Hakgala Botanical Garden
  • Continue to Hakgala Botanical Garden, one of Sri Lanka’s most beautiful botanical gardens, renowned for its colorful flower collections, exotic plants, and breathtaking mountain surroundings.
  • Scenic Journey to Colombo
  • Later, transfer to Colombo via Hatton and Kitulgala.
  • During the journey, enjoy spectacular views of lush tea plantations, misty mountains, rivers, and several beautiful waterfalls along the scenic route.
  • Optional Adventure Experience – White Water Rafting
  • For adventure enthusiasts, white water rafting can be arranged in Kitulgala upon request. The activity takes approximately 2 hours and offers an exciting experience on the scenic Kelani River.
  • Kitulgala is also famous as the filming location of the award-winning movie The Bridge on the River Kwai.

DAMBULLA CAVE TEMPLE

Dambulla cave temple also known as the Golden Temple of Dambulla which is a World Heritage Site (1991) in Sri Lanka. It is the largest and best-preserved cave temple complex in Sri Lanka. There are more than 80 documented caves in the surrounding area. Major attractions are spread over five caves, which contain statues and paintings. These paintings and statues are related to Gautama Buddha and his life. There are a total of 153 Buddha statues, three statues of Sri Lankan kings and four statues of gods and goddesses

POLONNARUWA CITY TOUR

Poḷonnaruwa is the main town of Polonnaruwa District in North Central Province, Sri Lanka. Polonnaruwa caries the ancient heritages of Sri Lanka New Town and the other part of Polonnaruwa remains as the royal ancient city of the Kingdom of Polonnaruwa.The second most ancient of Sri Lanka's kingdoms, Polonnaruwa was first declared the capital city by King Vijayabahu I, who defeated Chola invaders in 1070 to reunite the country once more under a local leader. The Ancient City of Polonnaruwa has been declared a World Heritage Site.

MINNERIYA NATIONAL PARK

Minneriya National Park is a national park in North Central Province of Sri Lanka.The area was designated as a national park on 12 August 1997, having been originally declared as a wildlife sanctuary in 1938. The reason for declaring the area as protected is to protect the catchment of Minneriya tank and the wildlife of the surrounding area. The tank is historicaly importance, having been built by King Mahasen in their century AD. The park is a dry season feeding ground for the elephant population dwelling in forests of Matale, Polonnaruwa, and Trincomalee districts

SIGIRIYA –LION ROCK

The name refers to a site of historical and archaeological significance that is dominated by a massive column of rock nearly 200 meters (660 ft) high. King Kasyapa built his palace on the top of this rock and decorated its sides with colorful frescoes. On a small plateau about halfway up the side of this rock he built a gateway in the form of an enormous lion. The name of this place is derived from this structure —Sīhāgiri, the Lion Rock.  Sigiriya today is a UNESCO listed World Heritage Site. It is one of the best preserved examples of ancient urban planning. It is the most visited historic site in Sri Lanka.

NALANDA GEDIGE – NAULA

Nalanda Gedige is an ancient complete stone temple near Matale, Sri Lanka and its original site was considered as the center of Sri Lanka. The building was constructed in between 8th and 10th centuries with dravidian architecture inand is believed to have been used by Buddhists

ALUVIHARA  ROCK TEMPLE / SPICE GARDEN

The Aluvihare Rock Temple (also called Matale Alu Viharaya) is a sacred Buddhist temple located in Aluvihare, Matale District of Sri Lanka.Surrounded by hills, and the Aluvihara cave temple is situated 30 km south of Kandy on the Matale-Dambulla road. The history of Aluvihare Rock Temple is traced back to the 3rd Century B.C to the reign of King Devanampiyatissa. It is believed that the King built the

MUTTU MARIAMMAN HINDU TEMPLE

Muthumariamman Temple or Arulmigu Sri Muthumari Amman Kovil is a Hindu temple in Matale, Sri Lanka. The prefix “Muthu”, literally means “pearl”. "Mari" means rain and "Amman" means mother in Tamil language. The temple is dedicated to Mariamman, the goddess of rain and fertility.

KANDY 

Sri Dalada Maligawa or the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic is a Buddhist temple in the city of Kandy, Sri Lanka. It is located in the royal palace complex of the former Kingdom of Kandy, which houses the relic of the tooth of the Buddha. Since ancient times, the relic has played an important role in local politics because it is believed that whoever holds the relic holds the governance of the country. Kandy was the last capital of the Sri Lankan kings and is a World Heritage Site mainly due to the temple.

NUWARA ELIYA

Nuwara Eliya is a city, in the hill country of the Central Province, Sri Lanka. The city name meaning is "city on the plain (table land)" or "city of light". The city is the administrative capital of Nuwara Eliya District, with a picturesque landscape and temperate climate. Nuwara Eliya is also known for the temperate, cool climate, the city is known for being the coolest area in Sri Lanka
